Dr. Alex Mitchell is an experienced surgeon, healthcare leader, and entrepreneur. Dr. Mitchell has previously led the planning, procurement, and delivery of major healthcare infrastructure projects for Nova Scotia. Dr. Mitchell founded Translate Health to provide strategic health systems advisory services to both health systems and solutions providers.
Alex is passionate about system level transformation and desperately wants to “Make Healthcare Make Sense!”

Victoria VanHemert is a Senior Consultant with Translate Health, bringing a wealth of executive-level experience across multiple health sectors. Her expertise in healthcare planning/programming, facilities redevelopment, and her strength in stakeholder engagement have been instrumental in the successful implementation of many large projects. Victoria has led significant projects, including Southlake Residential Care Village, Casey House in Toronto, and the QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax. She is committed to ensuring that healthcare solutions align with customer intent, making her a key contributor to the success of transformative healthcare projects.

Sarah Prodor, NSAA
Architect, Nurse, Senior Consultant

Sarah Prodor brings a unique blend of expertise as both an architect and a nurse, with over 21 years of experience in healthcare design and operations. She has a proven track record in managing complex projects, including long-term care facilities, community health hubs, and acute care settings. Sarah’s knowledge spans the full-cycle of healthcare redevelopment including functional programming, strategic planning, operational readiness, and design while incorporating evidence-based design principles.
Sarah fosters collaboration among diverse teams, ensuring project outcomes align with client and community needs. Her notable projects include the New Waterford Hub in Cape Breton, NS, and the Sahtu Health Centre in Norman Wells, NT showcasing her ability to integrate innovative solutions with community-focused design.
